NFC Teams Dominate List of NFL Draft Classes with Least Impact in 2025

Seven teams that may not see big impacts from incoming rookies

I
t's common for fans to expect significant contributions from rookie classes, but the reality is that not all draft picks are created equal. Some teams may have a mix of immediate contributors and developmental players, while others may have a class with more question marks.

Here are seven teams that may see limited early contributions from their 2025 rookie class:

    7. Las Vegas Raiders: The Raiders' draft class includes RB Ashton Jeanty and WR Jack Bech, who should contribute immediately. However, the team's other picks, such as CB Darien Porter and OG Caleb Rogers, have some concerns. Porter is relatively new to the cornerback position, while Rogers was announced as an offensive guard despite starting at tackle in college.

    6. Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys' draft class includes OG Tyler Booker, who will start from Day 1. However, there are concerns about EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku's play strength, and the team already has a deep pass-rushing rotation. CB Shavon Revel Jr. is recovering from a torn ACL, which may limit his contributions in Year 1.

    5. Chicago Bears: The Bears' draft class includes TE Colston Loveland, who will have an impact as the team uses more 12 personnel. However, WR Luther Burden III's role is unclear, and OT Ozzy Trapilo may be a right tackle rather than a starter at left tackle.

    4. Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals' draft class includes EDGE Shemar Stewart, who may struggle to contribute immediately. LB Demetrius Knight Jr. could step in early, but OG Dylan Fairchild's role is uncertain. RB Tahj Brooks and OG Jalen Rivers are developmental players who may not see significant playing time.

    3. New York Giants: The Giants' draft class includes EDGE Abdul Carter, who will be an impact performer. However, QB Jaxson Dart may spend the season in Russell Wilson's shadow, and DT Darius Alexander needs technical improvement. RB Cam Skattebo is a short-yardage specialist rather than a feature back.

    2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Buccaneers' draft class includes WR Emeka Egbuka, who may not contribute immediately due to the team's existing depth at wide receiver. CB Benjamin Morrison is an incredible talent but may be limited by injuries in Year 1.

    1. Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings' draft class includes OG Donovan Jackson, who may be the only starter from the group. WR Tai Felton and DT Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins are developmental players with uncertain roles, while LB Kobe King needs to improve his processing skills.

NFL teams, particularly NFC squads, struggle with underwhelming 2025 draft classes.
