orth Jersey's luxury real estate market kicked off 2025 with a bang, boasting some of the most expensive home sales in recent history. Among them were an $11.1 million estate under construction in Alpine, a $6.75 million Manhattan-designed mansion in Short Hills, and several other multi-million-dollar properties that set the tone for a year of high-end transactions.
In Bergen County, 8 Stone Tower Drive in Alpine took the top spot with its $11.1 million sale on January 14th. This grand estate, built by LaBarbiera Custom Homes, boasts 20,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and an elevator connecting all four floors. The property also includes a pool, spa, and cabana in the backyard.
In Passaic County, a lakefront home at 115 Lake Drive E in Wayne sold for $1.7 million on January 17th. This four-bedroom, four-bathroom property features a private bridge to a tranquil island with a pond and waterfall, as well as a great room with a stone fireplace and a chef's kitchen with stainless-steel appliances.
Morris County saw the sale of a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home at 78 Cathedral Ave in Florham Park for $2.535 million on January 10th. This property boasts a two-story foyer, high ceilings, and custom woodwork, as well as a formal dining room and living room, and a finished basement with a bathroom.
Essex County's priciest sale was the $6.75 million mansion at 2 Sinclair Terrace in Short Hills, which sold on January 9th. Designed by Manhattan architect Rachael Gray and interior designer Kimberly Hall, this six-bedroom, ten-bathroom property features hand-cut stone, custom mahogany windows, and a slate roof.
