A
new chapter begins for the outlet mall in Osage Beach, Missouri, as Sky Real Estate takes ownership on November 21st. The city officials have confirmed that the property transfer comes after several decades of ownership by the Simon Group.
Sky Real Estate assumes control from a company that had seen better days, and now faces significant code violations. A report highlights seven dozen existing infractions, including structural issues, electrical hazards, and safety concerns such as rotted wood, exposed wiring, and broken glass doors.
The city had been in negotiations with Sky Real Estate to develop a plan for addressing these issues, averting a potentially costly court battle next month. The previous owners, Premium Outlet Partners-LP, were facing 82 building code violations.
This development marks a turning point for the mall, which has been the subject of revitalization efforts and rumors of new ownership. KRMS will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
