reaking News: Industry Powerhouses Get New Leaders
A seismic shift is underway in the residential real estate landscape as three influential organizations welcome fresh faces to their helm. Peerage Realty Partners, a luxury brokerage firm with a commanding presence in North America, has appointed Tara Brown as its new CEO. Brown brings two decades of leadership experience across multiple industries and will oversee the combined brokerage group while retaining her role as president of Peerage Group Sotheby's International Realty.
"We're thrilled to have someone of Tara's caliber take the reins," said Miles Nadal, Executive Chair of Peerage Capital. "Her appointment ensures our momentum continues seamlessly."
Brown's ascension comes at a pivotal time for the industry, and she's eager to build on Peerage's success. The firm ranked No. 10 on the Mega 1000 list with a sales volume of nearly $25 billion in 2024.
Meanwhile, Oralia Herrera has begun her term as president of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP). A longtime board member and founder of the North Chicago chapter, Herrera is committed to advancing Hispanic homeownership through advocacy and education. Her leadership follows in the footsteps of Nora Aguirre, a Century 21 agent who served as NAHREP's 2024 president.
"I'm deeply honored to take on this role," Herrera said. "I look forward to working alongside our members to create opportunities for Hispanic professionals in real estate."
In Texas, North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS) is welcoming a new CEO: Chris Carrillo. A veteran MLS leader with 14 years of experience at Wisconsin's Metro MLS, Carrillo will lead the largest MLS in Texas, which serves over 53,000 subscribers.
"I'm honored to join NTREIS and excited for the opportunity to shape innovative solutions for our marketplace," Carrillo said. "I look forward to collaborating with our stakeholders to address industry needs and drive growth."
