P
lymouth County's real estate market showed no signs of slowing down in June, according to the latest numbers from the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds. Register of Deeds John Buckley shared an update with WATD's Christine James, highlighting key trends in the local housing market.
Buckley reported a steady stream of sales and mortgages throughout the month, with 1,441 deeds recorded at the registry office. This represents a slight increase from June of last year, when 1,384 deeds were filed. The total value of those deeds came out to over $340 million, a notable jump from the previous year's total of $310 million.
The median sales price for homes in Plymouth County also saw an uptick, rising to just under $430,000. This marks a significant increase from June 2022, when the median sales price was around $410,000. Buckley attributed this trend to a continued demand for housing in the area, driven by factors such as low interest rates and a strong local economy.
While some areas of the county saw more activity than others, overall the market remained steady and robust. As the summer months approach, it will be interesting to see how these trends continue to unfold.
