hris Whitten, broker/owner of Premeer Real Estate, has been named to lead the Rhode Island Association of Realtors (RIAR) as its president for 2025. With over 6,000 members, RIAR is one of the largest realtor organizations in the state.
Whitten brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held leadership positions in local, state, and national associations. He has received numerous awards for his service, including Realtor of the Year and the President's Award. Additionally, he has been recognized for his civic and charitable work, including the Good Neighbor Award from the Northern Rhode Island Board and the Ben Mondor Community Leader Award from the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce.
Whitten is also president of the Premeer Gives Back Foundation, which has donated over $95,000 to local charities since its inception in 2019. Other officers elected for 2025 include Mike Pereira as president-elect, Sandra Warner as vice president, and Crystal D'Agostino as secretary/treasurer. They will be installed at the National Association of Realtors Conference in Boston this month.
