icky Gervais, the English comedian best known for the U.S. adaptation of “The Office,” has just sold his East 63rd Street apartment for $1.4 million, according to city property filings released Monday. The sale lists Gervais and his long‑time partner Jane Fallon as owners on the deed, which transfers the property to a limited liability company whose name was not immediately disclosed. The couple still hold a larger unit on the 12th floor, purchased in 2011 for $3.74 million, and a ninth‑floor residence bought in 2008 for $1.66 million—an earlier purchase that now represents a modest loss.
The building, where the pair have resided since 2008, features a bright, airy interior with oversized windows overlooking the street. Hardwood floors extend through the powder room, and the modern kitchen offers ample storage. The bedroom includes a sitting area, while the open living space faces north. The unit also boasts a Miele washer/dryer, generous closet space, and a deep soaking tub in the full bathroom. A private storage unit is included, and building amenities comprise a package room with cold storage and a garage.
Listing agents Katherine Camp and Eric Schwarzkopf of Compass advertised the home in May for $1.45 million, and it entered contract in under two months. Camp did not immediately respond to inquiries about the sale. A Gervais representative also did not comment on the transaction. The comedian, who recently served as executive producer of Peacock’s “The Paper,” a spin‑off of “The Office,” was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May.
