Rihanna's NYC Penthouse and Neighboring Units Headed for Auction

Three luxury penthouses at Cassa Hotel & Residences to sell with minimum $30M reserve price.

R
ihanna's former New York penthouse and two other units in the same building are being sold through price-slashed auctions after languishing on and off the market for over a decade. The three Midtown apartments, once asking $50 million, will be auctioned with a minimum reserve bid of $30 million on November 13.

The units at the Cassa Hotel and Residences at 70 W. 45th St. have been on and off the market since 2011, with Rihanna, French Montana, and former New York Yankees star Rougned "Rougie" Odor having resided in them separately between 2013 and 2021.

The units can be purchased separately with a reserve bid of $10-12 million each or combined to create an 8,000-square-foot triplex. However, the combined unit lacks outdoor space. The auction is being led by Misha Haghani of Paramount Realty USA and Corcoran's Sebastian Lopera.

In addition to the Cassa units, a separate four-story penthouse at 16 Warren St. will be auctioned on October 30 with a $4 million reserve price. This unit features walnut floors, city views, and a hot tub, and was once asking $6 million.

A Times Square penthouse triplex, once listed for $21 million in 2015, will also be auctioned on November 20 with a reserve price of $7 million. The 4,335-square-foot unit features four bedrooms, two powder rooms, and a 160-square-foot terrace, among other luxurious amenities.

The sellers include Assa Properties, which developed the Cassa building in 2010, and Dr. Paul Boskind, a psychologist and Tony Award-winning producer who owns a 14th-century castle in Ireland.
