wo ZIP codes in Sarasota and Manatee counties have been named among the hottest in the country for home sales. According to Opendoor, a national online real estate company, Parrish's 34219 ZIP code ranked ninth and Venice's 34293 ZIP code ranked 17th on the list of top 20 hottest markets based on sales data from 2024. Seven of the top 20 markets were in Florida and seven in Texas.

    Parrish has experienced rapid growth with new developments, including a high school and two upcoming hospitals. The Venice area recognized as one of the hottest ZIP codes is largely encompassed by the Wellen Park project in North Port. Opendoor's list did not include total sales numbers for these areas.

    While Opendoor highlighted the hot real estate market in Parrish and Venice, local Realtors have noted a recent slowdown due to increased inventory and falling median prices. The top 20 hottest ZIP codes on Opendoor's list included Katy, TX; Cypress, TX; San Antonio, TX; Summerville, SC; Forney, TX; Yukon, OK; Clarksville, TN; Parrish, FL; Kyle, TX; Davenport, FL; McKinney, TX; Winter Garden, FL; St. Augustine, FL; Haines City, FL; Palm Coast, FL; Venice, FL; Maricopa, AZ; Ocala, FL; Fuquay Varina, NC; and Katy, TX.
