est Bend, WI – The new Farm Store at Schmidt Century Farm is nearing completion. Owner Deanna Schmidt recently gave a sneak peek tour of the facility.
The new store boasts an expansive shopping area, a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, and a large meeting space. Heated tractor maintenance shop and radiant in-floor heat are also part of the new building. An announcement on the grand opening is expected soon.
The Schmidts' decision to expand was driven by the success of their family-owned Farm Store. Initially, customers would visit the farm to purchase large quantities of beef and pork, but Deanna wanted a more personal connection with them. They started attending Farmers Markets and hosting farm open houses, which proved successful in educating customers about their products.
As demand grew, the Schmidts realized they needed more space. The new Farm Store will feature increased capacity for local products, improved visibility from the road, and amenities like a commercial kitchen, meeting space, storage, and a heated shop for tractor maintenance.
