T
he City of Sioux City is pushing forward with plans to revitalize the old Wetmore building and the site where the former Sioux City Auditorium stood. The city council has accepted a proposal from Tri-State Real Estate Development to purchase the property at 615 and 625 Douglas Street in downtown Sioux City.
Tri-State's plan involves transforming the old Wetmore Building into an apartment complex with commercial space on the ground floor, accompanied by a green space and additional parking. The next step is for the interim city manager to negotiate the sale details.
