Slinger's Kettle Recreation Center: A First Look

VIDEO | First look at The Kettle Recreation Center in Slinger, WI

T
he Kettle Recreation Center and Jugs Pub & Grill in Slinger, WI are nearing completion. General manager Dawn Jug gave a sneak peek at the high-tech bowling facilities and menu offerings.

The center features 12 lanes of electronic bowling with impressive graphics, numerous game options, and interactive experiences for kids. One such feature is an animated wolf howling in one of the games.

Owner Steve Kearns reported that the main question from visitors is when they will open. However, he still needs to obtain a final occupancy permit from the Village before opening their doors.

A private event hosted by Kearns and Jug tested out the new facilities, including the kitchen, which serves hot pizza and chicken wings. The Jugs Pub & Grill has an enormous kitchen with separate areas for Friday fish frys and a pickup window.

The Kettle's high-energy setting is enhanced by a 7-and-a-half foot tall LED backscreen displaying various games, atmospheres, and promotions. The bowling pins are also equipped with string pinsetters for faster setup.

While the project is almost complete, some finishing touches remain, including the gaming area, bar, and restaurant. Kearns and Jug have not set an official opening date, but promise to open when everything is ready.

Both The Kettle and Jugs Pub & Grill are currently hiring.
