South Florida condo sales plummet in November, with single-family homes also declining in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

outh Florida condo sales and total dollar volume declined sharply in November. Single-family home sales also took a hit in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, according to the Miami Association of Realtors' Multiple Listing Service data. The $3.5 billion total dollar volume was identical to last year's November figure.

    In Miami-Dade County, total home sales fell 9% to 1,510, with single-family homes up 1% to 716 and condo sales down 16% to 794. Median sale prices rose 6% for single-family homes to $650,000 and 4% for condos to $436,000.

    Miami-Dade County's total dollar volume reached $1.3 billion, with single-family home dollar volume up 2% to $782 million and condo dollar volume down 14% to $547 million.

    Broward County saw a 11% decline in total home sales to 1,623, with single-family sales down 2% to 804 and condo sales plummeting 19% to 819. Median sale prices rose 3% for single-family homes to $620,000 and 2% for condos to $285,000.

    Broward County's total dollar volume totaled $960 million, with single-family home dollar volume up 1% to $652 million and condo dollar volume down 22% to $304 million.

    In Palm Beach County, total sales dropped 16% to 1,425, with single-family home closings falling 8% to 841 and condo sales plummeting 25% to 584. Median sale prices remained flat for single-family homes at $600,000 and rose 1% for condos to $310,000.

    Palm Beach County's total dollar volume reached $1.2 billion, with single-family home dollar volume up 7% to $905 million and condo dollar volume down 25% to $294 million.
