T
wo men, Joshua Harrison and Jose Adolfo Lopez, are facing charges after allegedly posing as unlicensed real estate brokers in a South Miami scam. Prosecutors claim they tricked a woman into believing she would receive an apartment that didn't exist.
During Harrison's court appearance, one victim shared her harrowing experience with the judge. "I was scammed out of money and a place to live by this man," she said. "He promised to help me and my friends, but instead left us on the street. He made excuses and lies, then fled to another state to avoid responsibility."
Other victims recounted similar stories of deception. Harrison was ordered to pay a $1.2 million bond.
