rad Simpson, the husband of missing Texas mom Suzanne Simpson, sent a series of ominous texts to his business partner just days after his wife vanished. According to an arrest affidavit, Simpson texted James Vallee Cotter on October 8, asking him to "haul a--" and meet him at his house, stating he didn't have much time. In another message, Simpson wrote that social media was "destroying me," and Cotter agreed to hide a machine gun at his San Antonio home.
An ATF K-9 team later located the AK-47, concealed in the wall of Cotter's home. Cotter was arrested on October 21 and charged with tampering or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair an investigation. His bond was set at $500,000.
Brad Simpson has been arrested for allegedly being in possession of a short-barreled rifle without a license. He is also facing charges of assault causing bodily injury, family violence, and unlawful restraint. Despite the new charges, authorities have not linked him to his wife's disappearance.
Suzanne Simpson went missing on October 6 after reportedly fighting with her husband at a club in San Antonio. A neighbor witnessed the altercation and later heard screams coming from a nearby wooded area. The police are still searching for Suzanne, who has been missing for over two weeks.
