he Davis Companies has appointed Andrew Kurd as Managing Director to lead its New York City office. In this role, Kurd will oversee regional investment activity and join the firm's investment committee, driving expansion across the Greater New York market.
Kurd brings over 15 years of experience in real estate investment and finance to his new position. He will play a key part in executing Davis' multi-asset class investment strategy and scaling its footprint in one of the country's most competitive markets.
"Andrew's deep understanding of the New York market and his ability to identify and realize investment potential make him an ideal fit for this role," said Quentin Reynolds, Chief Investment Officer at Davis. "His experience will help us maximize our team's unique ability to unlock opportunities and deliver value for our investors."
Davis has a long history in New York, entering the market 15 years ago and growing its portfolio through strategic acquisitions and developments. Its $1 billion Fund V includes several NYC-based assets, with Kurd poised to deploy additional capital across the region.
Kurd previously served as Co-Chief Investment Officer at Savanna, overseeing over $4.5 billion in transactions. He also worked at Deutsche Bank's commercial real estate group before joining Davis. Kurd holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Davis' growing New York portfolio includes high-profile investments such as 55 Willoughby Street, The Symon, and Rise LIC in Long Island City.
