n West Bend, Wisconsin, a new coffee shop is brewing on South Main Street. Tommy Pennington, a familiar face in eastern Wisconsin's coffee scene, is opening his sixth 7 Brew Coffee franchise just minutes from where he grew up in Mequon. For Pennington, this location is more than just another store – it's as close to home as he can get.

    The 7 Brew stand, currently under construction, features a prefabricated modular design and will be located south of the old Panera Bread spot on South Main. Locally-based Marx Masonry, LLC from Kewaskum was hired for the brick work. Josh Marx said his team is nearing completion of the dumpster brick work and expects to finish washing the bricks next week.

    The compact footprint belies a full double-lane drive-thru, allowing customers to receive quick service without congestion. "We serve in both lanes," Pennington explained. "It's part of what makes us different – speed, energy, and connection." The franchise prioritizes genuine customer interaction, with staff walking up to cars with tablets to discuss menu options and tailor drinks on the spot.

    "We're revolutionizing how people experience drive-thru coffee," Pennington said. "High energy, great drinks, and amazing people make the difference." The shop offers a wide range of choices, including classic coffee, cold brews, smoothies, teas, Italian sodas, and energy drinks – plus sugar-free options. Loyal customers can earn rewards through a program that gives them a free drink after every 10 purchases.

    Pennington said West Bend was always on his radar for the new location, with an opening planned in the next couple of months. "We're not just opening a coffee shop," he emphasized. "We're bringing a culture." The standalone building features entrances on both S. Main Street and the west side off the mall, and Pennington believes the concept stands apart from other coffee shops due to its unique drinks, energy, and experience.
