Top Bucks County Homes Sold in 2024 Revealed

Bucks County homes come with a hefty price tag: A look at the top 5 most expensive sales of 2024.

B
ucks County's housing market remained hot in 2024, with high prices and limited inventory driving sales. Despite no single sale reaching $6 million, the top five home sales of the year were highly sought after. Realtor Robin Kemmerer noted that homes priced between $575,000 and $650,000 continue to attract multiple offers, often exceeding 15 or 20 bids.

The high-end market performed well, with several multi-million-dollar estates changing hands quickly. However, one record-breaking sale from the spring of 2023 fell through in April 2024 and remains off the market. The property, a modern mansion in Solebury, initially sold for $14.5 million but is now listed again.

Kemmerer attributed the high prices to inheritances, which have become a significant source of funds for homebuyers. This trend is part of what she calls the "Late Boomer" era, where baby boomers' wealth is being passed down to their children, who are using it to purchase luxury homes.

Looking ahead to 2025, Kemmerer expects prices to rise but at a slower pace than in previous years. She believes that homes priced correctly will continue to attract buyers, with $600,000 emerging as the market's sweet spot.

Some of the top sales of the year include:

    * A modern mansion in Solebury, which initially sold for $14.5 million but is now listed again

    * A Spanish villa on the Delaware River, priced at $5.25 million and featuring five bedrooms and eight bathrooms

    * A genuine "Penn's grant" property in Bucks County, priced at $5.1 million and boasting 29 acres of land and a bank barn

    * Spring Meadow Farm, an 18th-century estate with 18.34 acres of land and a price tag of $5 million

    * Doan Hollow, a colonial-era home with eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, priced at $4.7 million
