Y
outh from across the Flint area gathered at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library for a unique event, the Youth Real Estate Academy. Hosted by Mission Possible, a non-profit focused on education and economic development, the day-long program aimed to explore career pathways in real estate and skilled trades.
Young people aged 14-25 participated in interactive workshops, expert panels, and breakout sessions led by professionals in the field. Topics included property investing, construction, and entrepreneurship, highlighting high-demand careers that require little to no experience.
"It's essential to bring attention to these often-overlooked trades," said Gianna Oliver, Mission Possible Program Manager. "We want to empower students with knowledge of real estate construction, appraising, and related fields."
Attendees toured a property, networked with industry mentors, and enjoyed lunch, leaving with inspiration and practical tools to launch their futures.
