Danish furniture company SOFACOMPANY has leased new retail space in Nuremberg. The retail unit covers around 470 square metres and is located at Josephsplatz 26-28 in the centre of the Franconian metropolis. The letting process was advised by consulting firm Lührmann, specifically by Nadine Brand, Senior Consultant Retail Letting at the Munich office.
Prior to the furnishing provider moving in, the rental unit was used by German clothing brand Wellensteyn. With this change of occupier, this part of Nuremberg city centre undergoes a sectoral shift from fashion retail to the furniture segment.
Established retail location in the Old Town
The property on Josephsplatz benefits from its central position within Nuremberg's Old Town and is situated in an established city-centre retail environment not far from the Weißer Turm. This area is among the city's traditionally high-footfall retail locations.
On the occasion of the completion, Nadine Brand from Lührmann emphasised that Nuremberg gains a modern interior concept with this newcomer, combining Scandinavian design language with contemporary living ideas. She also expressed her satisfaction with the successful conclusion of the deal.
Structure and profile of the new occupier
SOFACOMPANY was founded in Denmark in 2012 and operates as a vertically integrated furniture provider. The company creates its designs in-house and focuses on linking contemporary design, craftsmanship, and a favourable price-performance ratio. The product line centres primarily on sofas and complementary furniture for the entire living area.
