The OPHIRUM Group, which includes the GOLDFUXX brand, is pursuing a long-term growth plan for its branch network in the German precious metals trade. The company, which claims to operate the largest precious metal branch network in Germany, currently has 53 locations. This number also includes the branches operating under the OPHIRUM brand, which already form the densest brick-and-mortar network in this sector.
The planned expansion anticipates a significant increase in its presence. Önder Çiftçi, CEO of the OPHIRUM Group, stated that approximately 75 branches are targeted by the end of 2026. For the end of 2027, the realisation of around 100 locations appears to be a realistic goal. This strategy aims to further improve customer accessibility and shorten distances for precious metals trading.
The GOLDFUXX concept integrates the entire precious metals trade under one roof. This includes both the sale of classic investment bars and coins and the purchase business. Customers have the option to have their gold holdings, including investment coins, bars, scrap gold and jewellery, valued and purchased on site. Purchases are made transparently based on the current daily price and without hidden deductions, as Mr Çiftçi emphasised. The locations are deliberately situated in central shopping areas, where spontaneous visits are possible without prior appointments.
A key geographical focus of this expansion strategy is North Rhine-Westphalia. Along the axis from Cologne via Düsseldorf to the northern Ruhr area and East Westphalia, GOLDFUXX is systematically developing new locations. This region was identified due to its high population density and a strong demand for brick-and-mortar precious metal services.
Parallel to its national expansion, the OPHIRUM Group also plans international market development. In addition to opening further branches in other federal states, this also includes locations beyond the German border. Austria has been defined as a target market, and a branch in Zagreb, Croatia, has already been opened. These international steps mark the beginning of the company's global growth strategy and complement developments in the domestic market.
