Jagdfeld Real Estate has appointed Peter Glöckner as interim centre manager for the shopping centres "Riesapark" and "PEP Torgau". Mr Glöckner succeeds Daniela Eichler, who has left the company for personal reasons. This new appointment is designed for a transitional phase until a longer-term solution for the centre management roles is found.
Mr Glöckner possesses over 30 years of expertise in retail and centre management. His professional career began with managing a Karstadt branch. Since 1994, he has specialised in centre management and was responsible for various shopping centres across Germany. Since 2018, he has worked as an independent interim manager. His qualification as a university-educated business economist underlines his comprehensive expertise in this segment.
Background to the interim appointment
The decision to appoint an interim manager was made by Jagdfeld Real Estate to ensure continuity in the operation of both shopping centres. Michael Bünnagel, Head of Centre and Property Management at Jagdfeld Real Estate, stated that they are relying on Peter Glöckner's expertise to successfully manage the transitional phase until the centre manager position can be permanently refilled. The company is striving for a sustainable solution to stabilise the leadership of the sites in the long term.
Mr Glöckner, a native of Bochum, expressed his pleasure with the new assignment. He emphasised that "Riesapark" and "PEP Torgau" are perceived as well-managed locations. His presence ensures a professional point of contact on-site for tenants, customers, and partners until the final leadership is found. This is crucial for maintaining the quality of support and providing continuity in business operations. According to Mr Glöckner, ensuring the best possible support is a top priority.
In addition to his experience in centre management, Mr Glöckner was also responsible as managing director for the asset, property, and facility management of shopping centres. This comprehensive scope of his previous activities qualifies him for the diverse requirements associated with leading shopping centres, especially during a phase of restructuring.
