Pluto Finance, a specialised platform for private credit financing in the residential and commercial real estate sectors, has appointed Peter Axmann to the position of Non-Executive Advisor for Germany. This appointment is part of the company's strategic alignment to strengthen its presence in the European market, particularly in the context of development and bridge financing.
Peter Axmann brings over four decades of professional experience in banking, more than 30 years of which were dedicated to real estate finance. His career began at Hamburgische Landesbank, which later merged into HSH Nordbank. There, he held various leadership positions in the real estate business. Most recently, until October 2025, Axmann served as Head of Corporate Real Estate at Hamburg Commercial Bank, the successor institution to HSH Nordbank.
Strategic expansion of market reach
Through his many years of activity, Peter Axmann has an extensive network of brokers and borrowers. These connections, coupled with his expertise in acquiring and structuring large-volume financing for project developments and investments, are intended to significantly support Pluto Finance's growth. From Germany, he will leverage his network to solidify the company's position as a financing partner for residential and commercial real estate.
Axmann's appointment is an indicator of Pluto's continuous investment in high-calibre executives as part of its European expansion. It follows the appointments of Ciaran Singh as Managing Director for Europe and Max Güntner as Lending Director for Germany and the Netherlands. Both individuals had already brought valuable market experience and strengthened Pluto's lending capabilities in the region.
Peter Axmann expressed a positive view of his new role. He pointed out that Pluto Finance has built a solid reputation in the United Kingdom for its efficient and relationship-oriented approach to debt financing. He looks forward to contributing his experience and market relationships to the German team to make this approach accessible to further borrowers, as Germany needs lenders who act quickly and entrepreneurially. Axmann expressed enthusiasm for supporting the team in expanding the platform in Germany.
Justin Faiz, Co-founder and CEO of Pluto Finance, emphasised the significance of Axmann's appointment. He highlighted that Axmann's professional career was dedicated to real estate finance in Germany and that he therefore brings the necessary network of borrowers and intermediaries, as well as experience from various market cycles, which are crucial for Pluto Finance's expansion. Faiz underscored that Axmann's expertise will be invaluable for growth in the German market, especially during the current phase of platform expansion into continental Europe.
