Premier Inn is strengthening its market position in the Frankfurt metropolitan region by commissioning its 74th hotel in Germany. Eschborn, an economic hub on the outskirts of Frankfurt, was chosen for this expansion. The new establishment comprises 174 rooms, 29 of which are designed as Premier Inn Plus Rooms with enhanced comfort. The hotel's central location ensures excellent connectivity: Eschborn Süd train station is a ten-minute walk away, providing an S-Bahn connection to Frankfurt city centre in approximately 15 minutes. This is the group's fifth hotel in the greater Frankfurt am Main region.
A significant feature of the new Premier Inn Frankfurt Eschborn is its inaugural construction using a modular building method in Germany. This project was realised in collaboration with the Lechner Group, based in Uehlfeld. The innovative construction method addresses the demand for efficient building processes, high quality standards, and the sustainable further development of the hotel portfolio. The decision for this method underscores the commitment of both companies to future-oriented construction solutions.
Kai Backeberg, Construction Director at Premier Inn, expressed positive sentiments about the cooperative project with the Lechner Group. He emphasised that the Premier Inn Frankfurt Eschborn represents the company's first project using a modular building method. This method allows for the industrial prefabrication of rooms with a 100 per cent fit-out level, thereby combining speed and quality to a high standard. Precise planning and execution in the factory significantly contribute to the overall process's efficiency.
Christian Hanisch, Managing Director for Modular Construction at the Lechner Group, explained the advantages of the approach. He elaborated that modular construction achieves the highest degree of prefabrication. The complete fitting out of rooms, including furnishing and technical installations, is already carried out in the factory. This significantly minimises interfaces on the construction site, accelerates construction processes, and ensures consistently high quality of execution. The entire process from production to assembly is geared towards efficiency and precision, leading to optimised project implementation.
With the new hotel in Eschborn, Premier Inn reaffirms its strategic ambition to be present in attractively growing regions. The aim is to offer guests consistently high quality in central locations. At the same time, this project demonstrates how innovative construction concepts can effectively contribute to realising ambitious expansion goals.
