Principal Asset Management has appointed Daniel Maric as Managing Director and Head of European Distribution. In this newly created position, Maric will drive the company's regional growth strategy and strengthen relationships with clients and partners across Europe. He will operate from Germany, leading distribution throughout the region. In doing so, he will collaborate closely with local teams to serve institutional investors and expand access to Principal Asset Management's public and private market offerings.

Kamal Bhatia, President and CEO of Principal Asset Management, commented on the appointment. He emphasised that Europe represents a strategic growth market for Principal Asset Management, where investors are seeking innovative solutions and long-term partnerships. Bhatia highlighted that Maric's leadership qualities, client focus, and market experience qualify him to strengthen the European business and deliver solutions for clients. The appointment reflects confidence in his capabilities and a commitment to investment in Europe.

Daniel Maric himself also commented on his new role. He stated that Principal Asset Management possesses a solid foundation and an excellent reputation in Europe, which provides a clear basis for further growth. He looks forward to consolidating client relationships, intensifying market engagement, and generating long-term value through the company's global investment platform, together with the regional teams.

Maric joined Principal Asset Management in 2021 as Managing Director and Head of Sales for Germany and Austria. He brings more than two decades of experience in institutional sales and client relationship management to his new position. Prior to his time at Principal Asset Management, he held senior roles at renowned companies in the industry. These include positions at BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management, MEAG Asset Management, and State Street Global Advisors.

The filling of this newly created position underscores the strategic importance of the European market for Principal Asset Management. By focusing on strengthening distribution and deepening client relationships, the company intends to expand its presence in a region with high investment demand. Maric's extensive experience in various leadership roles and his deep understanding of the institutional market are considered essential for achieving these goals.
