GCH Hotel Group has announced that its CEO, Sascha Hampe, will additionally and voluntarily take on the role of Marketing Director for Füchse Berlin. This appointment deepens the long-standing and established cooperation between the hotel group and the Berlin sports club.

GCH Hotel Group has been a partner of Füchse Berlin since the 2021/22 season and has since become a Premium Partner. The collaboration has previously manifested itself, among other things, through the use of GCH Hotels for the team's overnight stays during away games, underscoring the functional integration of the partnership.

Responsibilities and strategic direction

In his new role as Marketing Director, Sascha Hampe will support the strategic development of the Füchse Berlin brand. His responsibilities include fostering new partner networks and strengthening the economic foundations of the Berlin club. This activity is in addition to his extensive operational responsibilities at GCH Hotel Group, where he leads over 1,800 employees in Germany and Austria.

Füchse Berlin has long been characterised by consistent sporting performance and sustainable youth development. For both Hampe and the club, the continuous development of the involved players and personnel is paramount. This shared alignment forms the basis for the consistent continuation of the chosen path, which aims to synergistically combine economic development, sporting success and youth concept.

  • Strategic brand development for Füchse Berlin.
  • Expansion of partner networks to strengthen the economic base.
  • Continuous development of athletes and staff.
  • Connecting economic success, sporting performance and youth development.

Sascha Hampe stated that it is an honour to be part of the Füchse community and he looks forward to shaping the future of the club with passion, commitment and team spirit. Bob Hanning, Managing Director of Füchse Berlin, emphasised the importance of internal growth beyond the rights marketer SPORTFIVE. He explained that by gaining Sascha Hampe as a voluntary Marketing Director, the club can position itself more broadly and individually within its overall context. GCH Hotel Group sees in the club's positioning a combination of sporting success, youth development and economic stability, values that the hotel group itself also represents.
