Around 150 business partners from trade, architecture and specialist planning, alongside 90 employees of Strenger Group, gathered in the Louis-Bühler-Saal in Ludwigsburg for the traditional Partner Day. For more than twenty years, the family-owned business has used this platform for professional exchange. Against the backdrop of persistently high interest rates and increased construction costs, this year's focus was primarily on how housebuilding can be delivered economically and reliably through adapted processes.
Dr Daniel Hannemann, Chairman of the Management Board, reviewed the current situation in the new-build sector. After sales activity had noticeably picked up for a time in 2025, momentum weakened again recently. While hesitancy is evident among owner-occupiers, investors currently make up the majority of buyers. Many of them take advantage of tax relief such as double depreciation allowances for particularly sustainable residential buildings, provided the relevant requirements are met.
Industrial prefabrication and accelerated construction processes
In response to cost pressures, the company is relying on standardised processes and early planning phases. Together with Dr Lis Hannemann-Strenger and Julien Ahrens, Hannemann is driving forward new residential products. The leadership trio emphasised that the sector must break with established paradigms. The success of this methodology is demonstrated, among other things, by the Arkadien River Gate project in Weil am Rhein, which is currently around twelve weeks ahead of the original schedule thanks to lean processes and precise coordination. In addition, the Urban Alb quarter in Pfullingen is already 95 per cent sold, with costs and deadlines strictly adhered to.
In the coming years, the group intends to step up serial timber construction in partnership with Gropyus. In addition, the existing Baustolz terraced house concept is being revised to once again offer affordable homeownership options to owner-occupiers. Alongside the expansion of 360-degree services and municipal projects, Strenger continues to invest in building land, having secured plots for around 300 new residential units since the last Partner Day.
Presentation of the Strenger Awards to specialist partners
As part of the event, the company also recognised outstanding achievements in craft trades and planning. Technical Director Manuel Mayer and the regional management teams presented this year's Strenger Awards, with adherence to deadlines, craftsmanship quality and collaborative partnership serving as the decisive criteria.
- —Munich Regional Award: Haidinger Bodensysteme GmbH
- —Stuttgart Regional Award: Adam Estriche
- —Frankfurt Regional Award: Kastrati Garten- und Landschaftsbau GmbH & Co. KG
- —Berlin Regional Award: Sönmez Bau GmbH and the supra-regional engineering firm Ingenieurbüro Stalljann for specialist planning
Dr Lis Hannemann-Strenger highlighted that high design standards are an integral part of the company's identity. To deliver functional and architecturally appealing neighbourhoods economically, the contracting firms are integrated into the design concept well before ground is actually broken.
