The NEW bauhaus Festival 2026, an event for professionals and executives from architecture, construction and real estate industries, as well as culture and society, will take place on 2 and 3 September in the Weimarhalle. The focus will be on new concepts for spaces and working environments, as well as strategies for the age of AI robotics and neuroscience. For the first time, THE NETWORK for innovative spatial solutions is participating in this festival and contributing to the programme with a free creative workshop.
THE NETWORK, founded in Hamburg in 2017, operates as an association of partner companies. The network offers clients solutions for real spatial and workplace design, which can be experienced in showrooms in Hamburg, Berlin, Wiesbaden, Stuttgart and Munich, and from 2026 also in Austria and Switzerland. Participation in the festival in Weimar underlines the company's motto, which emphasises the synergy of individual players.
The creative workshop, which will be offered on both festival days – on 2 September from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on 3 September from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM – allows participants to create individual artworks from samples and leftover materials provided by the participating network companies. The necessary paints will be provided by designer Peymaneh Bamdad from her collection. Participants can take their finished works home afterwards. The workshop is limited to a maximum of 30 people per session and is free of charge; only a valid trade fair ticket is required for participation. Registrations can be made via the festival website.
Significance and Background of the Workshop
The creative workshop has already been conducted in Stuttgart, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden and Hamburg and met with positive feedback from creatives in the fields of construction, architecture, real estate, culture and society. Dipl.-Ing. Roger Pfers, co-founder and consultant for THE NETWORK, highlights that THE NETWORK represents an alliance of partners on an equal footing, whose disciplines complement each other to jointly address client requirements. Festival Director Michael Rücker underlines the workshop's significance in the context of the transformation triggered by AI and robotics. He views creativity and craftsmanship as central pillars of this development, making THE NETWORK's involvement a key component for the NEW bauhaus Festival 2026.
