VÖLKEL has been commissioned with the comprehensive management of the T.E.C. in Erfurt. This includes not only centre management and leasing but also commercial property management, including accounting, as well as technical property management, supplemented by project steering. VÖLKEL is thus responsible for a complete management mandate for the retail location in the Thuringian state capital.

VÖLKEL had already been entrusted with the leasing management of the T.E.C. since October 2025 and advised the owner. The current commission aims for a targeted further development of the shopping centre. This includes optimising the offerings, improving the external appearance, designing the customer journey, and implementing a robust sustainability strategy. Furthermore, increased attention to detail should lead to operational improvements to achieve effective cooperation between the owner, tenant partners, and customers.

Strategy and Background of the Commission

Dirk Völkel, Spokesperson for the Management Board of VÖLKEL, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in them by the Glinicke Group and looked forward to the upcoming collaboration with the owner and tenants of the T.E.C. in Erfurt. Florian Glinicke, Managing Director of the Glinicke Group, emphasised that VÖLKEL had impressed them with its integrated approach to managing complex retail properties. Decisive factors for this choice were VÖLKEL's profound market knowledge, detailed approach to strategic and operational issues, and personal connection. This led to the decision to entrust VÖLKEL with the responsibility for the future development of the T.E.C.
