Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has agreed a strategic partnership with HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, one of the world's leading platforms for independent properties in the luxury segment. Under this collaboration, more than 40 hotels from the 'Elegant Hotels of the World' portfolio will join the Registry Collection Hotels brand by early 2027. Further properties are set to follow selectively based on individual reviews of brand compatibility and compliance with integration criteria.
The Registry Collection portfolio currently comprises around 30 properties across nine countries, including assets such as the Bristol Panama, the Hodges Bay Resort & Spa on Antigua, and the Balfour Miami Beach in Florida. The newly added partner properties are predominantly design-led boutique hotels with 20 to 50 rooms. Participating owners gain access to global resources while fully retaining their operational independence and brand identity.
Global distribution power with operational independence
The collaboration brings together HotelREZ's distribution expertise with Wyndham's global reach and loyalty programme, which counts around 129 million members. Scott Strickland, Chief Commercial Officer of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, explained that the partnership opens up access to sought-after destinations for members and selectively expands the group's luxury portfolio. Mark Lewis, Group CEO of HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, emphasised that the core aim is to unlock new commercial potential for owners by linking the trust built with independent hoteliers over more than two decades with a global platform.
Among the first properties to be connected to the Registry Collection's distribution and marketing channels are several high-profile international assets:
- —Rosselli AX Privilege in Valletta (Malta), a boutique hotel in a restored 17th-century palazzo holding a Michelin Key, a Michelin Star, and a Bib Gourmand.
- —The TownHouse Mykonos (Greece), an adults-only hotel in an 18th-century manor house overlooking the harbour, awarded a Michelin Key.
- —Galgorm Resort near Belfast (Northern Ireland), a five-star resort set in 550 hectares of parkland on the River Maine, featuring a Thermal Spa Village and a championship golf course.
- —Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique in Cartagena (Colombia), a listed colonial building in the historic old town awarded a Michelin Key.
The initial selection is complemented by TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao in Thailand, featuring private plunge pools in Phang Nga Bay, and the Roe Valley Resort on Northern Ireland's Causeway Coast. All properties will remain members of 'Elegant Hotels of the World' and will simultaneously be integrated into Wyndham's loyalty programme.
Expanded technology connectivity for partner hotels
By the end of the year, the partners are also introducing a flexible add-on model. Properties within HotelREZ's 'Best Loved Hotels' collection will be able to access selected modules of Wyndham's technological infrastructure going forward. These include the AI solutions Wyndham Connect and the Wyndham AI Concierge, as well as connected third-party distribution platforms. Wyndham is the first major hotel company to operate entirely on a cloud basis and is investing targeted capital in the discoverability and bookability of its portfolios across platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Google Gemini.
