APCOA Germany has signed a long-term lease agreement for the management of parking spaces at the Arne-Jacobsen-Haus in Hamburg. This agreement concerns the establishment of modern car park management at a prominent location in the Hanseatic city.

The mandate encompasses a total of 511 car parking spaces. In addition, 30 charging points for electric vehicles will be provided. APCOA plans to operate the site with a FreeFlow solution. This technology enables an efficient and user-friendly parking process without physical barriers or paper tickets. The introduction of this solution is intended to speed up entry and exit and to specifically manage traffic flows in the area.

Location and Revitalisation

The Arne-Jacobsen-Haus, completed in 1969, is one of the well-known office buildings in Hamburg's City Nord. The property is a listed building and was constructed according to the plans of the Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen. The building is currently undergoing extensive revitalisation by MATRIX Real Estate. The aim is to reposition it for modern working environments to meet current demands for office space.

APCOA's early securing of the management of this site underscores the importance of the location in one of Hamburg's most relevant office markets. The car park's commissioning is predicted for the fourth quarter of 2027. This highlights long-term planning and strategic alignment in the development and use of inner-city real estate infrastructure.

  • Total number of parking spaces: 511 car parking spaces
  • Charging infrastructure: 30 charging points for electric vehicles
  • Technology: Barrier-free FreeFlow system without paper tickets
  • Commissioning: Fourth quarter 2027

The partnership between APCOA and MATRIX Real Estate in this project represents a coordinated strategy for optimising urban infrastructure in the context of modern office properties. The development will further enhance the attractiveness of the Arne-Jacobsen-Haus as a business location in Hamburg.
