The Hamburg-based B&L Gruppe, a company specialising in the development of high-quality real estate, has established a branch in Düsseldorf. The new location is situated in Düsseldorf city centre, in the immediate vicinity of the BLOOM project on Steinstraße. This endeavour comprises approximately 30,000 square metres of office rental space.
By opening this branch in Düsseldorf, the B&L Gruppe is expanding its presence in German economic centres. The Düsseldorf location complements the existing offices in Frankfurt and Hamburg. The group focuses on developing high-quality office properties and premium retail assets in central locations of major German cities. Currently, the company is involved, among other projects, in the Hafenpark Quartier in Frankfurt am Main, where it is delivering the new German headquarters for ING-DiBa AG for more than 3,000 employees. Additionally, the group offers expertise in service development to institutional investors.
Strategic Expansion in Düsseldorf
Thorsten Testorp, Managing Director of B&L Gruppe, justified the decision for Düsseldorf by citing the metropolis's high location quality. He highlighted the city's international orientation and its economic dynamism as advantageous prerequisites for sustainable real estate investments. Düsseldorf is among Germany's most important economic locations.
Precisely coinciding with the establishment of the Düsseldorf branch, preliminary planning permission was granted for the planned BLOOM office ensemble. The project is located centrally between Königsallee and the main railway station and focuses on a sustainable and future-oriented building concept. BLOOM's architecture is designed to integrate distinctly into the Düsseldorf cityscape while simultaneously supporting the development of the office location.
Mr. Testorp commented on market conditions, stating that despite current challenges, he sees significant opportunities for prime properties in suitable locations. He emphasised that Düsseldorf stands out due to its economic strength, its future viability, and its attractiveness for both national and international companies and brands. The BLOOM project underscores B&L Gruppe's conviction that quality, location, and usage concept will continue to be decisive success factors for real estate projects in the future.
