Bozzuto, a leading company in real estate development, construction and management, is relocating its corporate headquarters from Greenbelt, Maryland, to Maple Lawn in Howard County. The move follows the signing of a lease for 57,837 square feet of office space within the 605-acre mixed-use community. The company plans to accommodate approximately 225 employees in the new offices at 8160 Maple Lawn Boulevard in Fulton, Maryland, by the first quarter of 2027.
The new headquarters will span two and a half floors. Bozzuto will retain its previous office in Greenbelt as a hub for corporate services. Maple Lawn is a partnership between Greenebaum Enterprises and St. John Properties and includes over 1,300 residential units, more than 1.8 million square feet of commercial space, and over 215,000 square feet of retail space.
Attractive Environment and Company Growth
Matt Lenihan, Executive Vice President of St. John Properties, commented on the appeal of the location. He highlighted that the wide array of walkable amenities, including restaurants, shops, a grocery market, recreational facilities, and an on-site hotel, is extremely attractive for companies wishing to provide their employees with the best working environment. Toby Bozzuto, CEO and President of Bozzuto, emphasised that they know first-hand how the right environment shapes the way people connect, collaborate, and succeed.
Bozzuto manages approximately 150,000 homes, employs nearly 5,000 staff, and has a combined construction and development pipeline worth $3.5 billion. In addition to relocating its headquarters, Bozzuto is also preparing to move its Northern Virginia office. Once both relocations are complete, the company will have five corporate offices in the Washington, D.C. region and ten nationwide, including a new office in Seattle.
Parties Involved in the Transaction
In the transaction, the landlord was represented by Bill Jautze, Vice President of St. John Properties. Bozzuto was advised by David Fields and Charlie Carroccio from CBRE, as well as by Lou Christopher from Stream Realty.
