On Saturday, 4 September 2026, the BürgerBräuQuartier in Berlin opened its doors to the public. The event attracted around 400 interested citizens as well as potential buyers and tenants, who came to see the former brewery site for themselves. Profi Partner AG, the developer of the listed site, which has been vacant for approximately ten years, provided comprehensive information on the development plans and timeframe for the project.

Revitalisation of an Industrial Monument

The roughly 100-year-old brewery building has a chequered history and has stood unused for the last decade. Profi Partner AG's revitalisation concept aims to reactivate this historic structure and transform it to be fit for the future. The approach combines the building's historical character with modern architecture, sustainability principles, and energy efficiency standards.

During the event, Profi Partner AG announced the official timetable for the realisation of the large-scale project. Construction is scheduled to commence in spring 2027. Upon completion, the BürgerBräuQuartier will comprise a balanced mix of residential and commercial uses.

Structure of the Future Quarter

  • 41 modern owner-occupied flats for diverse needs.
  • 32 commercial apartments for flexible use as living and working spaces.
  • 5,135 square metres of commercial space for gastronomy, services, offices, and creative concepts.

Dirk Germandi, CEO of Profi Partner AG, commented on the public's interest. He stated that the high visitor turnout on the open day underscored local interest in the future of this historic area. The company looks forward to the task of developing the formerly dilapidated monument into a vibrant place for meeting, living, and working, starting in spring 2027.
