A storied waterfront estate in Jupiter, Florida, once owned by singer Céline Dion and her late husband René Angélil, has been sold in an off-market transaction for 12.5 million dollars.
The couple acquired the roughly 0.65-acre plot a few years after their 1994 wedding for 625,000 dollars and subsequently built the nearly 15,000-square-foot villa. In the early 2000s, they sold the property for 9 million dollars. The eight-bedroom, eleven-bathroom residence in the exclusive gated community of Admirals Cove has now passed to investor Myron Miller. The vendor, 370 EAGLE LLC, was represented by Rob Thomson of Waterfront Properties, while Willie Abreu of The Nicolas Group at SERHANT advised the purchaser.
Classical architecture and prestigious living spaces
The architecture of the estate draws on stylistic elements of classic Beverly Hills and Palm Beach residences. The foyer welcomes guests with a polished black-and-white chequerboard floor, a central chandelier and a sweeping staircase with decorative ironwork and gold accents. Adjoining this is a formal dining room with light stone flooring, stained-glass windows and twin chandeliers, leading directly through to the kitchen quarters.
The kitchen is appointed with patterned terracotta flooring, cream-coloured cabinetry, dark stone worktops and a substantial island. Among the eight suites is an expansive master wing featuring an integrated lounge area with a fireplace, as well as an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath set before floor-to-ceiling windows. The residence is completed by a wood-panelled study, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, a private cinema with red velvet seating, and a fitness room.
Outdoor grounds with direct water access
The grounds are designed for generous entertaining: a covered terrace with an arcade encompasses a lounge and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a barbecue grill. In front of it lies an open terrace finished in a chequerboard pattern of stone and lawn, bordered by palm trees and low hedges.
At the centre of the garden, a swimming pool with an integrated hot tub extends along the shoreline, flanked by a separate pavilion. A private pontoon alongside the sheet piling provides moorings for watercraft and offers direct access to the surrounding waterways.
