Ohana Real Estate Investors has acquired the Panther National Golf Resort and a luxury residential community in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, for $191.2 million, according to property records. The property spans 392 acres within the Avenir master development at 10391 Panther National Boulevard.
Panther National features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by golf legends Jack Nicklaus and two-time PGA Major champion Justin Thomas, as well as a par-3 course. The project also includes 68 single-family homes, with plans for an additional 150 separate residential units.
The seller of the property was the Swiss developer Centaur Holdings. J.P. Morgan Chase provided the Austin, Texas-based hospitality-focused company with a $115 million acquisition loan. This sale is one of the largest golf course transactions in South Florida in recent years, although many buyers have ultimately converted their golf courses into residential developments.
Centaur Holdings had acquired the land in 2021 for $60 million from master developer Landstar, a Coral Gables-based company. Two years later, the 18-hole golf course was completed. In 2024, Centaur Holdings secured a $160 million debt package from Southern Realty Trust and Sunrise Realty Trust, of which $85 million was used to refinance an existing liability and the remaining $75 million for the construction of 180 homes and a 60,000 square foot clubhouse. The debt has since been fully repaid, according to the lenders.
This purchase occurred a year after Brookfield Properties sold the nearby, 800-acre PGA National Resort for $425 million. That property includes 360 hotel rooms, a 40,000 square foot spa, and a total of 99 golf holes. Representatives for Centaur Holdings and Ohana Real Estate Investors did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
