Colliers Berlin has undertaken a realignment of its residential division. This strategic adjustment aims to generate further growth and establish greater specialisation within the department. The measure is intended to enable a more targeted approach to the diverse market requirements for multi-family residential properties, residential investments, and land plots.

As part of this restructuring, Jan Knoops is taking on the position of Head of Residential Investment (WGH) Berlin. With his extensive market knowledge and long-standing expertise, Mr. Knoops will further develop the multi-family residential property sector and expand Colliers' market position in this segment. His role encompasses the strategic advancement of this important business area.

Personnel and Responsibilities

Concurrently, Marius R. Michael will join Colliers on 1 September 2026 and assume the role of Head of Capital Markets Residential & Land Berlin. In this capacity, Mr. Michael will be responsible for the management and development of transaction business in the residential investment and land segments. A key focus of his activities will be to strengthen market presence and expand long-term client relationships to consolidate the company's advisory and marketing expertise.

Additionally, Cedric Piechatschek is reinforcing the Residential Investment team. Through his commitment and expertise, he will support the team in advising investors and owners and contribute to the successful execution of transactions. This expansion of the team is intended to further increase the operational capacity and efficiency of the division.

Alexander Kropf, Regional Manager Berlin at Colliers, stated that these personnel and structural developments would create optimal conditions for even more focused client support and for expanding the company's position in the residential market. The realignment also considers the sharpening of positioning in growing segments such as student housing. The company is thus consistently continuing its growth trajectory in the residential segment.
