As of 1 January 2027, WISAG Facility Management Hessen GmbH & Co. KG will be responsible for infrastructural facility management services for four significant properties of DZ BANK AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank in Frankfurt. This new contract marks a significant expansion of the existing collaboration and includes, for the first time, overall responsibility for these services. The joint phase of handover and implementation of the services already began in July 2026.
DZ BANK acts as the central institution for the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken Cooperative Financial Network, supporting approximately 700 cooperative banks nationwide as a central bank. The four affected office properties in Frankfurt are among the bank's key locations and significantly shape the skyline of the Main metropolis. They encompass a total building area of over 150,000 square metres, frequented daily by several thousand employees and guests. This scale and prominence place high demands on uninterrupted building operations.
Scope of Services and Rationale
The range of infrastructural services to be provided by WISAG is broad. It includes building cleaning, various property services, professional garden and landscape maintenance, winter services, and pest control. In previous years, various WISAG companies were already entrusted with individual services at the locations concerned.
Oliver Groothold, Head of Central Facility Management Central at DZ BANK AG, commented on the decision: "The choice fell on WISAG because the company is familiar with the locations from a long-standing cooperation. Crucial for the awarding of the contract was also the convincing operating concept and the proven ability to manage infrastructural services in an integrated manner and from a single source in the future. This creates the basis for efficient, economical, and user-oriented operation of the Frankfurt locations."
Strengthening Market Position and Staff Deployment
With this contract, WISAG consolidates its position in the management of demanding office properties. The company thus underscores its role as a multi-service provider for complex objects. Approximately 56 WISAG employees will be responsible for the smooth operation of the four Frankfurt properties in the future. Ralf Pilger, Managing Director of WISAG Facility Management Holding GmbH & Co. KG, emphasised that this contract win represents an important milestone in the collaboration with DZ BANK. He stated that it demonstrates that long-term partnerships, high service quality, and the commitment of employees prove to be effective. Taking overall responsibility for infrastructural services is both a vote of confidence and an incentive. The aim is to jointly develop the Frankfurt locations economically, reliably, and with a clear focus on the users.
