CTP, the largest listed owner, developer, and manager of logistics and industrial properties in Europe by gross lettable area, has concluded a new lease agreement at CTPark Solingen. The tenant is Hippocampus GmbH, a service provider specialising in third-party logistics (3PL). The leased area totals approximately 16,700 square metres, comprising around 16,200 square metres of warehouse space and 500 square metres of office space.
Hippocampus GmbH intends to use the newly leased premises for goods handling and the delivery of products to its business customers. This strategic decision enables the company to centralise its existing logistics activities while simultaneously expanding its main warehouse. This step creates the spatial conditions for the further development and optimisation of the company's delivery processes.
Strategic Importance of the Solingen Location
Sandra Kraus, Leasing Director at CTP Germany, commented on the new partnership. She highlighted that Hippocampus GmbH's usage profile perfectly matches the available spaces at CTPark Solingen. For service providers involved in goods handling and distribution, high-performance warehouse facilities and efficient regional and supra-regional transport links are crucial. Hippocampus GmbH's decision to centralise and expand its main warehouse in Germany at this location underscores the quality and potential of CTPark Solingen.
CTPark Solingen is located at Nümmener Feld 10 and is characterised by advantageous transport links within the Bergisches Städtedreieck (Bergisch City Triangle), which connects the economic centres of Düsseldorf, Wuppertal, and Cologne. Its immediate proximity to the A3 and A46 motorways ensures a connection to the supra-regional motorway network. Additionally, the B224 and B229 federal roads enable efficient regional distribution. Solingen city centre is approximately three kilometres away, and the main railway station is around nine kilometres. A bus stop named "Foche" is within walking distance.
Features and Facilities of CTPark Solingen
CTPark Solingen was constructed in the 1990s. The plot covers an area of approximately 41,000 square metres, on which there is a total of around 26,400 square metres of lettable space. The warehouses are flexibly designed and suitable for storage, distribution, and production processes. A special feature is the hall structure, which, due to the topography, extends over two levels, thereby offering different space and usage possibilities.
The site's facilities include ramps with dock levelers, a pallet conveyor connecting the two warehouse levels, and a sufficient number of car and lorry parking spaces. This infrastructure supports efficient logistics operations and contributes to the attractiveness of CTPark Solingen for companies with complex requirements in terms of goods flow.
