Deka Immobilien has entrusted HBB Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG with the comprehensive management of another property from its portfolio. As of 1 January 2027, the Hamburg-based company will assume the centre management for the RheinBerg Galerie in Bergisch Gladbach. In addition to centre management, the mandate includes commercial and technical property management as well as leasing management for the retail asset.
With this appointment, both companies are deepening their existing cooperation. Only at the beginning of the current year did HBB take over the management of the Nedderfeld Center in Hamburg and the Alleen Center in Trier. This third shopping centre mandate consolidates the institutional partnership and highlights Deka's confidence in the management specialist's operational performance.
Established retail location in the heart of Bergisch Gladbach
The RheinBerg Galerie is situated in the town centre of Bergisch Gladbach with direct access to the pedestrian precinct, functioning as the primary retail magnet for the entire regional catchment area. Across three levels, the property provides just under 16,000 square metres of lettable space, characterised by a balanced mix of sectors and tenants.
- —Just under 16,000 square metres of lettable space across three floors
- —Central town-centre location with direct connection to the bus and S-Bahn station
- —Around 550 parking spaces for visitors in the adjoining multi-storey car park
- —High-footfall anchor tenants including Aldi, Media Markt, Müller Drogerie, C&A and New Yorker
Accessibility to the property is ensured by its direct proximity to the town's combined bus and S-Bahn station. Visitors arriving by car have approximately 550 parking bays available in the adjoining multi-storey car park. Well-known anchor tenants such as Aldi, Media Markt, Müller Drogerie, C&A and New Yorker secure steady footfall at the site.
Strategic development of the portfolio profile
The objective of the collaboration between Deka and HBB is to continuously align the asset's tenant and sector mix with changing market conditions and sustainably reinforce the scheme's market position. André Stromeyer, Managing Director of HBB Centermanagement, regarded the awarding of the mandate as confirmation of their operational quality, adding that the ambition is to position the RheinBerg Galerie for the future together with the owner as an established and high-footfall shopping destination.
