EOS Partners, a private equity investor specialising in high-growth technology companies, has acquired a majority stake in the due diligence platform Drooms. This transaction marks a significant step for Drooms, as it is intended to enable the company's further scaling in the European market and, in particular, in the real asset investment segment. EOS Partners' long-standing expertise in software and technology-driven services is expected to help Drooms further expand its position.
Following this acquisition, Alexandre Grellier will continue to lead the company as CEO. Jan Hoffmeister, co-founder and former co-CEO, is leaving the company after 25 years to dedicate himself to private projects. J.F. Müller & Sohn AG is also divesting its stake in the company. EOS Partners' strategic investment is aimed at strengthening Drooms' international presence and intensifying digitalisation and AI-based automation within the transaction process.
Drooms recorded record revenues and profits in 2024 and 2025 – despite a challenging market environment for transactions. In 2025, overall growth of approximately 20% was achieved, with recurring revenues (Net Retention Rate) increasing by 120%. These key figures underscore the company's solid economic foundation and its potential for further growth. Alexandre Grellier emphasised that the choice of investor was crucial to establishing a long-term growth partnership that simultaneously upholds the values of digital sovereignty, uncompromising security, and EU-based data processing.

Philipp Wegener, Partner at EOS Partners, highlighted Drooms' technology leadership, strong AI product, and clear market positioning. He sees significant growth potential in the European market addressed by Drooms. The collaboration aims to leverage these strengths and support Drooms on its continued growth trajectory. Jan Hoffmeister's decision to leave the company was received with respect by all parties involved. His role in building Drooms over 25 years was particularly recognised by Alexandre Grellier.
Drooms received comprehensive advice on the transaction. Dr. Leube from Simmons & Simmons acted as Lead Partner, while Tobias Warkus, Managing Director at Stifel Financial Corp., provided advisory support. For EOS Partners, GOF (Munich), NKF (Zurich), Altman Solon (Munich), Code&Co. (Berlin), KPMG (Munich), and EY (Stuttgart, Zurich) were involved. This broad advisory structure underlines the complexity and strategic importance of the acquisition.
