Estate agencies could be overlooking existing business opportunities within their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. This is according to a new study which suggests that many companies are not fully realising the potential value in their data. The report highlights a discrepancy between the perceived importance of CRM data and its actual strategic application.

The study, which examined the use and perception of CRM databases in the real estate sector, found that a significant majority of agency executives recognise the untapped earnings potential in their systems. Specifically, 82.4% of surveyed agency managers believe that their databases still hold untapped revenue streams. This high figure underscores an awareness of the available opportunities, which are not yet being systematically exploited.

Potential for Revenue Growth

The findings suggest that while investment in CRM technologies has occurred, the strategic utilisation to maximise customer value often lags. More effective analysis and segmentation of existing customer data could lead to more targeted marketing activities, better customer retention strategies, and ultimately, higher revenues. Focusing on activating these dormant data reserves is a crucial step towards increasing operational efficiency and profitability.

Experts in real estate consultancy emphasise that continuous training for employees in the use of CRM tools, as well as the implementation of clear data management processes, are crucial. Only then can the collected information be optimally used to create more precise forecasts and offer personalised services. A proactive approach to data management could significantly improve customer engagement and increase conversion rates.

Strategic Implications

Fully leveraging CRM potential could provide estate agencies with a significant competitive advantage by enabling more informed business decisions and elevating their customer relationships to a new level. It is about transforming mere data collections into strategic insights that can be directly translated into concrete actions. This includes not only identifying new business opportunities but also optimising existing processes for customer care and acquisition. The survey findings confirm that there is still considerable development potential in this area.
