Fieldfisher Germany, an international commercial law firm, has signed a long-term lease for 2,400 square metres of office space in the 'New Ganghofer' in Munich. The transaction was facilitated by Colliers on the landlord's side, while BNP Paribas Real Estate advised the tenant. This move highlights Fieldfisher's continued growth trajectory in Germany, which represents the highest-revenue market within the Fieldfisher network after the UK, and boasts the largest national presence with five offices in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.
The relocation of the Munich office from the Central Tower on Landsberger Straße to the New Ganghofer enables the entire local team to be brought together on a single floor. At the same time, additional capacity is being created for further growth. In Munich, the firm specialises in innovation and technology-driven sectors such as energy, life sciences, technology & data, and media & entertainment. The new premises are scheduled for occupancy in the second quarter of 2027.
Property and location quality
The property at Ganghoferstraße 27a–29a, formerly KPMG's corporate headquarters, was extensively renovated by UC Invest Alternatives (formerly Wealthcap) and positioned on the market in collaboration with Colliers. Today, it presents itself as a modern multi-tenant building with a total rental area of approximately 33,700 square metres and high-quality fittings. Thanks to the lease by Fieldfisher and other lettings, the building's occupancy rate has increased to almost 70 percent.
The property features high-quality building technology, photovoltaic systems and communal roof terraces. For commuters, bicycle parking spaces as well as changing and shower facilities are available. The location is characterised by direct connections to public transport and good accessibility to Munich city centre. An architectural feature of the building is the art installation 'Umschreibung' (Rewriting) by the Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson, a double helix staircase in the courtyard that has defined its appearance since 2004.
Simon Wagner, Director Office Letting at Colliers in Munich, emphasised that the combination of modern space quality, a sustainable building concept and the excellent location was decisive in favour of the New Ganghofer. The possibility of consolidating the space on one level was a key factor in Fieldfisher's site selection process.
