The Five E Group has announced the takeover of the management and operational leadership of Weiße Wiek Feriendorf GmbH and Weiße Wiek Hotel GmbH from Lindner Hotels AG. This transaction will be completed with effect from 1 October 2026. Consequently, the Five E Group will assume comprehensive responsibility for the holiday and tourism destination Weiße Wiek, which is located on the Mecklenburg Baltic Sea coast in Boltenhagen.
The transition was prepared jointly by the Five E Group and Lindner Hotels AG over several months. It was ensured that the operations of Weiße Wiek would continue without interruption. Guests with existing bookings do not need to take any action, as these remain fully valid and all offers and services will continue. Continuity is also guaranteed for the workforce, as existing employment relationships within the respective tenant companies – Weiße Wiek Feriendorf GmbH and Weiße Wiek Hotel GmbH – will remain unchanged.
Mario Reincke, Managing Director of the Five E Group, emphasised that Weiße Wiek, as an established destination, possesses significant tourist appeal and great development potential. He highlighted that it involves taking over responsibility for a well-established location, its employees, guests and the entire region. The aim is to build upon existing strengths, continue the successful development to date, and simultaneously provide new impetus for the future. The Five E Group explicitly acknowledged the cooperative and professional preparation of the transition with Lindner Hotels AG.
Structure and Development of the Destination
Weiße Wiek comprises a hotel, a holiday resort, and maritime infrastructure, all unified in one location. The former Lindner Hotel Boltenhagen has 190 rooms, including 11 suites. The BEECH Resort Boltenhagen, whose operations will continue unchanged, complements the offering with 192 apartments. These are available in three categories with areas of 43, 57, and 65 square metres. The resort complex is car-free and extends over an area of approximately 12 hectares. Additionally, the destination includes Yachtwelt Boltenhagen, which offers 350 berths as well as extensive shipyard and winter storage infrastructure.
With the takeover of management, a new chapter begins for Weiße Wiek. The Five E Group will contribute its expertise in operating leisure hospitality offerings and developing tourist destinations to further develop the location long-term. The focus will be on safeguarding existing quality, enhancing the guest experience, and providing a clear perspective for the destination. Through this step, the Five E Group expands its tourism portfolio in one of Germany's most sought-after holiday regions and consistently pursues its own expansion strategy.
New Brand Identity for the Hotel
Parallel to the management change, the Lindner Hotel Boltenhagen will operate under the new name MAREBALTIC from 1 October 2026. MAREBALTIC represents a proprietary brand within the MARE pillar of the Five E Group, which is designed for individual retreats by the water. This MARE pillar currently also includes the MAREMÜRITZ Yachthafen Resort in the Mecklenburg Lake District. The future 4-star superior hotel MAREBALTIC will feature 190 rooms and suites with areas between 27 and 59 square metres. All units are equipped with a balcony or terrace and offer views of the Baltic Sea and the marina. Culinarily, the restaurant focuses on regional and seasonal cuisine. The offering is complemented by the Wiek Bar, a SPA area, and a comprehensive range of activities and experiences on the Baltic Sea coast.
