The formicon Group, a general planning company operating nationwide, is continuing its growth trajectory. This is manifested in the acquisition of two engineering firms: Ingenieurteam Trebes and Taube + Goerz, a specialist in electrical planning. Ulf Bambach, CEO of formicon, stated that both companies possess specific know-how and relevant project references in the strategically important market segments of healthcare construction, research, and education, complementing formicon's existing interdisciplinary planning profile. Through this integration, the formicon Group grows to over 550 employees across a total of 20 locations, thereby solidifying the company's position as one of the leading general planners for integrated planning in Germany.

Ingenieurteam Trebes, an independent structural engineer from Northern Germany, is now part of the formicon Group. The firm employs around 100 people at its headquarters in Kiel and at other locations in Hamburg, Flensburg, Rendsburg, and Rostock. Trebes' portfolio includes industrial clients and public sector clients, with a focus on large-scale projects in civil engineering, defence, hospitals, laboratories, schools and universities, as well as power plants and administrative, commercial, and industrial buildings. Wigand Grawe, Managing Director of the Trebes Group, highlighted that the engineering group, specialising in structural design and integrated planning, brings 55 years of experience from approximately 16,000 projects and inspections to the formicon Group. He emphasised the conviction that integrated planning within established general planner structures significantly enhances the quality and efficiency of planning processes and that considerable synergy potential exists in areas such as healthcare construction, research, education, and industrial construction.

Ulf Bambach added that with Ingenieurteam Trebes, formicon has gained an experienced specialist in structural engineering, whose state-recognised review engineers for solid, steel, and timber construction represent a unique selling proposition. Trebes' reference portfolio includes projects such as the University Hospital 'Super Hospital' in Aarhus, the Lautrupsbachtal Bridge, and the Louisenlund Boarding School, a timber construction project awarded the BDA Prize.

Furthermore, Taube + Goerz from Hanover is strengthening the formicon Group. This engineering firm specialises in electrical building planning. Its approximately 30 employees expand the group's competencies in consulting, planning, and supervision of electrical and energy technology, lighting, safety, communication, and media technology, as well as in the integration of renewable energies. Dirk Narten, Managing Director of Taube + Goerz, explained that the firm's concepts offer solutions in key technologies for sustainability and climate neutrality. The specialists at Taube + Goerz have over 30 years of experience in the planning and renovation of complex laboratory buildings and sensitive listed buildings. Bambach stressed that this expansion strengthens central future fields of the construction industry and complements the service portfolio with another essential component of integrated building planning. The goal is to increasingly offer clients coordinated planning services from a single source.
