The owner-managed real estate and infrastructure company GARBE is stepping up its collaboration with entrepreneurial families, family offices and private banks. For this purpose, GARBE Private Capital AG has been founded, based in Zurich. The new company serves as a central platform for club deals, co-investments, joint ventures and tailored investment participations. A key feature of the concept is the direct financial participation of the shareholder families of GARBE, who contribute their own capital to the joint projects.
Management of the new entity was assumed on 1 October 2026 by Peter Paschke, who also sits on the Board of Directors. Paschke brings more than 14 years of experience in private markets and investor relations. Most recently, he worked for a real estate-focused single family office in Zug, Switzerland. Prior career stops included Pangaea Life Capital Partners and the New York investment firm Muirfield Capital, where he was jointly responsible for business in Germany. He is also a co-founder of the Swiss network Off Record.
Focus on 'Sheds, Beds & Infrastructure'
GARBE manages assets of more than EUR 15 billion across Europe and has collaborated for many years with institutional names as well as international private equity firms. Through the Zurich entity, major private investors gain access to this operating platform. The investment spectrum is aligned with established core segments:
- —Logistics and industrial properties as well as data centres
- —Local convenience and food retail properties
- —Residential properties and hotels
- —Infrastructure projects
The corporate group draws on 23 offices across 16 countries, with locations in Europe, the US and the Middle East. Dedicated local teams cover the value chain from sourcing and structuring through to development and long-term asset management.
Entrepreneurial capital and co-investment
As Managing Director Peter Paschke explains, family offices and private banks demand direct market access, transparent structures and reliable operational support. Access to the specialised units across the wider corporate group allows flexible investment structures to be delivered. Christopher Garbe, Managing Partner of the group, underlines the significance of joint capital deployment: as a family business itself, the firm commits substantial proprietary capital alongside its partners to ensure genuine family-to-family collaboration.
