Greenopeak GmbH, a company specialising in photovoltaic solutions, successfully acquired six tenders for new projects in the latest bidding round of the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA). The awarded rooftop systems represent a cumulative installed capacity of approximately 15.5 MWp. These projects are strategically distributed across several federal states, including Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, and Hesse.
The total volume awarded by the Federal Network Agency in this auction amounted to around 208 MWp. Greenopeak not only succeeded in obtaining tenders for all submitted projects but also secured a share of approximately 7.45 per cent of the total awarded capacity. This acquisition significantly expands the company's existing project pipeline and is slated for further development and implementation in the coming months.
Frank Bernlochner, Managing Director of Greenopeak, expressed his satisfaction with the auction results. He emphasised that the six tenders enable the company to advance further projects in different regions of Germany. At the same time, he interprets the success as a confirmation of their focus on commercial and industrial roof areas, which allows for successful project placement even in larger tenders.
Continuous Growth and Portfolio Expansion
The current success coincides with Greenopeak's second anniversary. Since its spin-off from sister company Greenovative, the company has continuously expanded its project portfolio. Numerous large-scale photovoltaic rooftop systems for commercial and industrial customers have already been developed and realised. Greenopeak's service portfolio now includes large battery storage systems in addition to photovoltaic rooftop systems.
Greenopeak offers various implementation models for the realisation of photovoltaic projects. These include direct purchase of the systems, roof leasing, and sale-and-lease-back options. The most recent awards contribute significantly to the continued growth of the project pipeline. The company forecasts the implementation of large-scale photovoltaic rooftop systems with a total capacity of approximately 30 MWp in 2026 alone. Greenopeak supports projects from development and planning through to installation and operational management, with a presence in various regions of Germany.
