Siemens, a leading technology company, has marked the start of construction for its future corporate headquarters in Spain. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Siemens Campus took place in the Las Tablas district of Madrid. This project underscores the company's long-standing commitment to Spain and represents a significant step in its regional growth.
The new Siemens headquarters will cover a total area of approximately 24,000 square metres and will be built in the Las Tablas district. This location is in close proximity to the Madrid Nuevo Norte development project and is part of one of the fastest-growing business districts in the Spanish capital. The campus is designed as a multi-tenant site, intended to foster collaboration and innovation.
Several high-ranking representatives attended the ceremonial event, including José Luis Martínez-Almeida, the Mayor of Madrid, and Rocío Albert, Regional Minister for Economy, Finance and Employment of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. From Siemens, Veronika Bienert, CFO and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, and Fernando Silva, President and CEO of Siemens Spain, were present.
Facilities and Sustainability
Siemens has commissioned Ferrovial, a global infrastructure company, to construct the new corporate headquarters. The architectural firm La-Hoz Arquitectura is responsible for the design of the complex. The campus will embody Siemens' vision for sustainable, digital, and human-centric working environments and is intended to set new standards in digitalisation and sustainability.
The campus will be equipped with integrated electrification systems, energy distribution solutions, fire protection technologies, and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Building automation will be based on Siemens' Building X platform, which provides a unified digital data layer for transparency and optimisation. The building is designed for CO2-neutral operation and will be partially powered by photovoltaic systems and highly efficient heat pump systems.

The campus design includes open-plan workspace concepts, green outdoor areas, a staff restaurant, a café, co-working spaces, and fully equipped sports facilities with a gym. A communal collaboration area in the atrium is intended to foster exchange. These elements are designed to support collaboration, inclusion, and employee well-being.
