David Hoberman, the Hollywood producer behind TV series such as 'Monk' and well-known films like 'The Fighter', 'The Proposal', and Disney's live-action adaptation of 'Beauty and the Beast', has listed his Malibu residence for sale. The asking price is US$12.9 million. Hoberman acquired the originally unfinished contemporary estate in 2016 for US$7.5 million and subsequently completed and custom-fitted it to adequately showcase his extensive art collection.
Designed by architect Scott Gillen of Unvarnished, the single-storey house is located in 'The Who', an exclusive, gated cliff-top community with only four properties, offering expansive views of the Pacific Ocean. The property is being marketed by Stephen Sigoloff of Carolwood Estates, Paul Lester, Aileen Comora, Sandro Dazzan, and Daniel Stephenson of The Agency.

A long pathway of large format concrete slabs, interspersed with dark gravel, lines the entrance to Hoberman's Malibu home. Rounded boxwoods frame the path, softening the precision, as the walkway leads between the low, flat-roofed wings of the house to the glass front door with ocean views. Upon entry, the property opens into a sprawling great room characterised by 4-metre high ceilings with exposed wooden beams.
