Hyatt has announced the opening of the Hyatt Regency London Olympia. The hotel is located within the Olympia complex, which has undergone a £1.3 billion redevelopment. This opening marks the fifth Hyatt Regency hotel in London and continues the brand's expansion in Europe and across the United Kingdom.

Guillaume Paupy, Area Vice President U.K. & Ireland at Hyatt, commented on the opening. He highlighted that the hotel is at the centre of a significant new urban development project in London. The hotel's focus is on providing a welcoming and community-oriented experience that combines comfort, style, and intuitive service in a unique location. Paupy emphasised the importance of this milestone for Hyatt and the continuous expansion of its portfolio in key metropolitan areas across Great Britain and Ireland. The ongoing appeal and demand for well-located hotels with appropriate design and amenities in the capital are crucial for London's continued role in the growth strategy for the UK.

The Hyatt Regency London Olympia is centrally located within one of London's largest current transformation projects, which is reimagining Olympia as a destination for culture, business, and entertainment. The overall £1.3 billion project integrates offices, hospitality, a live music venue, and a theatre. Its direct proximity to Kensington Olympia Station ensures fast connections to central London and Heathrow Airport. Additionally, attractions such as Holland Park, Kensington Palace, and the Design Museum are easily accessible.

The hotel is housed in Emberton House, originally designed in 1937 as one of Europe's largest multi-storey car parks. The architectural reinterpretation was carried out by Heatherwick Studio and SPPARC. London design studio twenty2degrees was responsible for the interiors. The design embraced the building's early 20th-century industrial aesthetic, combining it with Art Deco influences and references to the history of Olympia Hall. In the corridors, reinterpretations of Eadweard Muybridge's chronophotography are displayed, a tribute to the Hippodrome Circus. The rooms feature framed graphic motifs that reference both the world's first computer exhibition at Olympia and artists such as Jimi Hendrix or Pink Floyd. Metal accents, veined marble, and a colour palette of greys and greens define the room design.

The Hyatt Regency London Olympia offers three dining concepts. The 1937 Lounge & Bar serves as a meeting point with coffee, snacks, and cocktails. The Market offers a grab-and-go selection. At the Idalia restaurant, located in the listed Pillar Hall, chefs Samantha Williams and Lorena Tommasi offer modern British cuisine with European and Asian influences.

The hotel features 204 rooms and suites across 14 categories. The room structure is divided into a “Work & Play” zone and a separate area for personal care. Smart technologies such as keyless room access and energy-efficient systems are integrated. For business purposes, 84 m² of meeting and event space is available, divided into three rooms. There is also direct access to the Olympia complex's convention centre, with a capacity for up to 20,000 people. An in-house fitness centre complements the offerings.
